I woudl say it is a good service to sign up and get the 10 bonus ringtones and then bail. They have some decent wallpapers as well. They did jsut do some deals with disney so if you have kids you can find some fun stuff for them

Also here is the fine print from Thumplay... As you know that most of these services are $10 a month which is fair...

Need ringtones? You're at the right place! Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of all your friends with the hottest, most up-to-date polyphonic tones and real music tones around. If your phone can handle it, we've got it-from hip hop, hard rock, dance, indie, smooth R&B and all the classics to stuff so bizarre you've just gotta hear it yourself. Need that college football anthem for next Saturday? How about some bumpin' reggaeton? We have over 10,000 downloads available now!

We also have the craziest graphics and animations-from hit TV shows and the latest Hollywood blockbusters. Get your game on with our huge selection of mobile games and get the latest dish on celebs, the best jokes or your daily horoscope sent right to your phone with our Text Services. If you're in a hurry, just check out our weekly Thumbplay Top 10 chart to see what's hot.

For those of you who like to be up on the latest stuff, Thumbplay has you covered. For $9.99/month you'll get up to 50% off new ringtones and wallpaper with 20 credits to start and a refill of 10 credits every month. No contracts, so you can cancel any time and keep everything you've already downloaded. And downloading from Thumbplay couldn't be easier-just type in your cell phone number and a link will be sent straight to your phone.

Thumbplay does seem a bit more legit than the others, but you have to be careful no matter which one you use and monitor your cellphone bill closely.

I agree... you NEED to read the fine print.. at least now most service providers llike Thumbplay are listing $9.99 a month on the page not just in the terms and conditions. It was comedy I was in a TMobile store a few years back and they had the jamster phone number on the wall. I asked why is Jamster's phone number on the wall thinking it was so they could give it to people who wanted ringtones. The representative turned to me and was like I need to call jamster ten times a day to cancel peoples service cause they were getting hammered with charges.. after multiple lawsuit Jamster is also in check..
